Patti White

Patti White was raised in the military during the Cold War and worked as a probation officer for the State of Colorado before turning to academic life. Formerly a theorist of postmodern narrative, she now teaches creative writing at the University of Alabama. In 2000 she won The MacGuffin National Poet Hunt, and, in 2001, she was awarded the Anhinga Prize for Poetry. Tackle Box, a collection of her poems, was published by Anhinga Press in September 2002; an award-winning festival-short film of the title poem was released in late 2003.
